LogicLab (http://www.logiclab.us), a software-as-a-service(SaaS) and platform-as-a-service(PaaS) provider, announces today that is has acquired Florida based tavolsoft, LLC (http://www.tavolsoft.com), a software-as-a-service and web hosting provider.

The buyout, which was finalized Friday, includes the tavolsoft network, servers, platform, and all other company assets. Considering tavolsoft currently utilizes software developed by LogicLab for its software and web hosting services, the transition is expected to be very smooth.

“Together we are hopeful that by purchasing tavolsoft, we will be able to expand our services and increase our customer based,” said an representative of LogicLab.

Terms of the deal are not being disclosed, however the LogicLab representative has stated that the payment was made up front, and plans are to revitalize current tavolsoft web hosting services and develop the software services into newer and more innovative services giving customers improved services at a much lower cost.

In addition, this will allow LogicLab to expand its customer base and increase its network and platform capabilities. As a result of the move, they are also crediting all existing tavolsoft customers with a free month of services and have already increased their usage limits at no additional charge.

LogicLab currently provides services through their platform that is supporting close to 50,000 users and with this acquisition should be well over that number, although at this point in the acquisition they were unable to give an exact figure.
